Memorial Day 09

This afternoon we escorted Ilya to a Memorial Day cookout. Do you notice a recurring theme in these photos?

Ohhhh!!! Bubbles!!! and my Spatula!!
What's on the table? Not my spatula!!

Fishing with Daddy and my Spatula!
My bubble wand, ball and my spatula!!
Sneaking toys off the table
while still holding my spatula!

Feeding Goldfish...with my spatula!
I can do anything if I stick out my tongue
and, of course, hold my spatula!
Okay, word of advice to other toddlers...
Even WITH a spatula, do NOT hold a bubble maker
in your mouth & pull the trigger.
The spatula will not make it taste any better!

So cute! Ilya is so like S-finding something that is not a "typical" toy and making it seem like the best toy ever! :) He looks so cute and looks like he had a fun time at the party!

Happy Memorial Day! Thank you to you and Norm for serving our country!

Wow, I'm a little behind on your blog, but I'm loving catching up. How sweet are all the pictures of Ilya. Sorry I'm behind on my blog reading, but I'm glad I have a moment to catch up on life and see that you've had an enjoyable spring.

Love the song you wrote for Ilya after reading Ondrea's post. I enjoyed her post on attachment too!!

Hehehe... something so simple becomes so cool, doesn't it? Wait until he figures out he can use the spatula to blow bubbles! :-) Glad you had such a great weekend.

Ilya is as cute as always! Jax has that same obsession with the spatula (in fact, I had to buy a new one for our kitchen) - perhaps we should get these two together so they can plan for their furture burger joint!
